Ockham Road North (B2039) East Horsley and Ockham Road South (B2039) East Horsley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 09 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; a) Ockham Road North (B2039) East Horsley as extends from its junction with (C41) East Lane to its junction with (B2039) Ockham Road South and; b) Ockham Road South (B2039) as extends from its junction with (B2039) Ockham Road North to its junction with (C42) Forest Road.
Alternative Route: Ockham Road North, Alms Heath, Ockham Lane, Old Lane, and Forest Road or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate electrical utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 21 August 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Station Road (D3019) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 09 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road (D3019) Chertsey as extends from its junction with (D3018) Victory Road to its junction with (D3019) Queen Street. Alternative Route: Victory Road, Eastworth Road, and Queen Street or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas. These works are anticipated to be completed within 15 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 August 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Hansler Grove (D6933) East Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 09 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Hansler Grove (D6933) East Molesey. Alternative Route: (B369) Walton Road, Manor Road, and Arnison Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate highways improvement and/or maintenance works by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
St Judes Road (A328) Englefield Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 09 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of St Judes Road (A328) Englefield Green. Alternative Route: (A328) Priest Hill, (A308) Windsor Road, (A30) Egham Bypass, (A308) The Glanty, (A30) Egham Bypass, and Egham Hill or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate highways carriageway surfacing works and/or maintenance works by or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. Busbridge Lane (D5405) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 09 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Busbridge Lane (D5405) Godalming.
Alternative Route: (D169) Tuesley Lane and (D5407) Quartermile Road. This Order is required to facilitate highways improvement and/or maintenance works by or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. Old Portsmouth Road (A3100) Peasmarsh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 9 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Old Portsmouth Road (A3100) Peasmarsh which extends from its junction with Ferry Lane to its junction with The Ridges.
This Order is required to enable Walker Construction (UK) Ltd to carry out surfacing works and other development related works, which is anticipated to be completed within 12 nights, between 8pm and 6am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, access to premises may be restricted.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Alternative Route 1 – Old Portsmouth Road, Broadford Road, The Street, Shalford Road, Millbrook, Onslow Street, Park Street, Portsmouth Road and Old Portsmouth Road. Alternative Route 2 – Old Portsmouth Road, Portsmouth Road, Park Street, Farnham Road, Bridge Street, Onslow Street, Millbrook, Shalford Road, The Street, Broadford Road and Old Portsmouth Road.
Long Reach (D247) Ockham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 9 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Long Reach (D247) Ockham which extends from its junction with Farleys Close and its junction with Green Lane and any parts thereof.
This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out hydrant repairs and/or replacement works and any other associated works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 August 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – East Lane and Ockham Road North or vice versa.
High Street (A308) Staines-Upon-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 9 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles proceeding in an easterly direction on High Street (A308) Staines-Upon-Thames from entering onto A308 London Road.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out signal works and any other improvement works/utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 7am and 7pm, during the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition of entry, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The prohibition above shall not apply to vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency; or to vehicles under the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, or of a sign placed pursuant to Sections 66 or 67 of the Act. The alternative route will be to continue eastwards on High Street and turn right into Kingston Road. Vehicles requiring access to London Road will be diverted via Fairfield Avenue.
Hare Hill (C128) Addlestone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 9 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hare Hill (C128) Addlestone which extends from its junction with Spinney Hill to its junction with Row Hill.
This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out valve replacement and/or pipe re-laying works and any other associated works. These works are anticipated to be completed on the dates and on the lengths specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will commence on 15 August 2023 and will be in operation for a period of 12 months. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Ongar Hill and Spinney Hill or vice versa.
The Schedule
1. that length which extends from its junction with Spinney Hill, south-eastwards for a distance of 53m; works are anticipated to be carried out from 15 August 2023 until 19 August 2023, between 8am and 5pm;
2. that length which extends from its junction with Row Hill, north-westwards for a distance of 37m; works are anticipated to be carried out from 11 September 2023 until 13 September 2023, between 8am and 4pm.
Tuesley Lane (D169) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 9 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tuesley Lane (D169) Godalming which extends from its junction with Sycamore Avenue to the eastern property boundary line of Crowts Barn.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water/Morrison Utility Services to carry out water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 12 days, between 8am and 6pm on weekdays, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Due to the nature of the works, access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – Tuesley Lane, Station Lane, Portsmouth Road, Shackstead Lane and Tuesley Lane or vice versa.
D4003 Walnut Tree Close and D4003 Woodbridge Meadows, Guildford
Temporary Traffic Management Order (No.2) 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D4003 Walnut Tree Close and D4003 Woodbridge Meadows, Guildford.
2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Woodbridge Meadows (D4003) and Walnut Tree Close (D4003) Guildford (One-Way System and Contra-Flow Cycle Lane) (No.1) Traffic Regulation Order 2023” in its entirety.
3. Suspend the Second Schedule to “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in the Borough of Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order No.2 2023”.
4. Suspend “The Surrey County Council D4003 Walnut Tree Close and D4003 Woodbridge Meadows, Guildford Temporary Traffic Management Order 2023” in its entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable:- (i) Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains maintenance and/or connection works in D4003 Walnut Tree Close between the south-eastern property boundary of “The Mews” and the north-western property boundary of “Wey View Court”. (ii) ALS Civil Engineers to carry out electrical cabling works to make a new customer connection and/or maintenance works in D4003 Walnut Tree Close alongside the southern property boundary of “Carriage House”.
These works are anticipated to be carried out within 5 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 September 2023. For part (i) works are anticipated to be carried out within 26 days from 04 September 2023. For part (ii) works are anticipated to be carried out within 7 days from 09 October 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures and suspension of the one-way system which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- (Clockwise) Woodbridge Meadows, Woodbridge Road, Onslow Street, Park Street and Walnut Tree Close. (Anti-Clockwise) – Walnut Tree Close, Bridge Street, Onslow Street, Woodbridge Road and Woodbridge Meadows.
Blanchards Hill (D51) Jacobs Well
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the left hand arm of Blanchards Hill (D51) Jacobs Well (service road) as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Willow Fall” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Edge Lea”.
Alternative Route: Blanchards Hill. This Order is required to facilitate relaying service pipe works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 September 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Milford Lodge (D657) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Milford Lodge (D657) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D657) Busdens Way and includes the eastern semi-circular arm in the vicinity of Pilgrims Court, Milford Lodge to its junction with the (D657) Footpath from Milford Lodge to Church Road. There is no alternative route for this closure. This Order is required to carry out main replacement works by, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 14 weeks, between Monday and Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturdays 8am to 5pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 September 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained when and where safe to do so. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period. Road plates to be added out of hours.
Blacksmith Lane (D218) Chilworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Blacksmith Lane (D218) Chilworth which extends from its junction with Halfpenny Close to its junction with Dorking Road, and any parts thereof.
This Order is required to enable Clancy Group to carry out ducting works and other associated fibre optic works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 9am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians, dismounted equestrians and dismounted cyclists. Alternative Route – Dorking Road, Chilworth Road, Guildford Lane, White Lane and Halfpenny Lane or vice versa.
Brunswick Close (D3833) Walton-on-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Brunswick Close (D3833) Walton-on-Thames.
This Order is required to enable Network Plus and/or Herts Traffic to carry out water connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. As Brunswick Close is a cul-de-sac, there is no diversion route available for this road closure.
Ethel Road (D3425) Ashford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ethel Road (D3425) Ashford which extends from its junction with Stanwell Road to the property boundary line between No.1b Ethel Road and No.223b Ethel Road.
This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, access to premises within the affected length of road and emergency service vehicles will be maintained via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – Stanwell Road and Links Road or vice versa.
Guildford Street (D3040) and Guildford Street (B375) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; a) Guildford Street (D3040) Chertsey as extends from its junction with (A317) Pyrcroft Road to its junction with (B375) Curfew Bell Road and; b) Guildford Street (B375) Chertsey as extends from its junction with (B375) Curfew Bell Road to its junction with (B375) Heriot Road.
Alternative Route: (A317) Eastworth Road, (B387) Fordwater Road, Weir Road, (B375) Bridge Road, London Street, Heriot Road, and (B375) Guildford Street. This Order is required to facilitate highways carriageway patching works and/or maintenance works by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 05 September 2023. These will be nightworks, between the hours of 8pm and 6am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

Public Byway Open to All Traffic 511 (Shere/Albury)/Ponds Lane D224
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 10 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit any motorised vehicle with 4 or more wheels from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Byway open to All Traffic 511 (Shere/Albury)/Ponds Lane (D224) from the junction with Parklands, Shere (Grid ref: 506931, 146677) in a southerly direction to the junction with Public Footpath 211 (Albury).This section of Public Byway Open to Traffic 511/Ponds Lane will remain fully open for use by traffic on foot, horseback, bicycle, motorcycle, and horse drawn vehicles. Access to properties will not be affected.
The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to a weak culvert. The closure will be in operation from 16 August 2023 for a period of three months. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required. There is no suggested alternative route for motorised vehicles with 4 or more wheels.
The Surrey County Council Public Byway Open to Traffic 511 (Shere/Albury)/Ponds Lane D224 Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2023 was made by the County Council under Section 14(1)&(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
