(A414 Greenbury Way & Margaraetting Road, Writtle) (Zenfest) (Special Event) (Temporary 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the Order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph Speed Limit on the following length of roads, Writtle in the City of Chelmsford. The existing speed limit is 60mph on both roads.
Road - Description
Margaretting Road, Writtle - From the roundabout with A414 Greenbury Way south for an approximately 1400 metres.
A414 Greenbury Way, Writtle - From a point approximately 369m east of the roundabout with The Causeway, east for approximately 1100 metres
The restrictions are scheduled to commence on the 19 August 2023 for one day between the hours of 08:00 to 23:59.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public, to allow for safe ingress and egress for pedestrians and vehicles for the Zenfest event. The event is taking place on land at Kings Farm East of Margaretting Road. Members of the Public are advised to avoid using these routes if at all possible, during the above date.
The Order will come into Operation 19 August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until all the event has taken place, whichever is the earlier.
(Boreham Road, Great Leighs) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boreham Road, Great Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 310m north west of its junction with Fuller Street, for a distance approximately 115m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th September 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30046877659 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Boreham Road, Drakes Lane, Wheelers Hill, Leighs Road, Wheelers Farm Roundabout, Essex Regiment Way, Sheepcotes Roundabout, Braintree Road, Strawbrook Hill, Great Leighs Bypass, Great Leighs Bypass Roundabout South, Main Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Mill Lane, Great Leighs) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Lane, Great Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Banters Lane to its junction with Ranks Green Road a distance of approximately 400m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th September 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M20645 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while replace fre hydrant frame and cover works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Boreham Road, Paulk Hall Lane, Main Road, Moulsham Hall Lane, London Road and vice versa (with access only into Mill Lane and Lynderswood Lane).
The Order will come into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Parkway, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Parkway, Chelmsford (northbound) in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road South to its junction with Coval Lane a distance of approximately 430m.
2. To temporarily close that length of Parkway, Chelmsford (southbound) in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Viaduct Road to its junction with Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road South a distance of approximately 270m.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 4th September 2023 for 13 nights (20:00-05:00) (closures with be carried out one at time), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231008958 – Avery Traffc Consultants Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable installation works are undertaken by Avery Traffc Consultants Ltd.

1. Parkway, Rainsford Lane, Waterhouse Lane, Westway, London Road, Wood Street Roundabout, Princes Road, Van Diemans Road, Army and Navy Roundabout, Parkway, Parkway Roundabout Baddow Road, Parkway and Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road, OR Rainsford Lane, Parkway, Broomfeld Road, Parkway, Rectory Lane, New Street Roundabout, New Street, Victoria Road, Duke Street and Victoria Road South.
2. Victoria Road South, Duke Street, Victoria Road, New Street, New Street Roundabout, Rectory Lane, Parkway, Broomfeld Road and Parkway.
The Order will come into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Priory Road, Bicknacre) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Priory Road, Bicknacre in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Moor Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 150m in an easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th September 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2347007 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fencing and guardrail works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Priory Road, Main Road, Burnham Road, Fen Roundabout, Willow Grove, Creephedge Lane, Leighams Road, Rettendon Road, Old Church Road, The Tye, Bicknacre Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hammonds Road, Little Baddow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hammonds Road, Little Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 225m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st August 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008FBA1239H – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Hammonds Road, Church Road, Main Road, London Road, Mowden Hall Lane, Worlds End, North Hill, The Ridge, Spring Elms Lane, Runsell Lane, Little Baddow Road, Maldon Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 3rd August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Littley Green Road, Little Leighs) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffc) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Littley Green Road, Little Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Felsted Road for a distance of approximately 500m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st August 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (A5009-ESS-LITGR-01 – County Broadband LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable replacement works are undertaken by County Broadband LTD.
An alternative route is available via Felsted Road, Leez Lane, Leez Road, Littley Green Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 3rd August 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
