High Street - Temporary Road Closure For Drainage Maintenance

Temporary Closure of High Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along High Street - from the junction with Chapelfield, eastwards for a total distance of 335 metres.
This Order will enable Milestone Infrastructure to carry out drainage maintenance.
The Order becomes effective on 10th August 2023 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 14th August 2023 and last until 3rd September 2023 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 21 days.

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
