ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIANS, – Public Footpath No. 5 Town of Crewe

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on that length of Public Footpath No. 5 Crewe which commences at OSGR SJ 7232 5646 and runs in a generally north westerly direction for approx. 86m to OSGR SJ 7224 5649.

The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger while site clearance and associated building works are undertaken.

The Order will come into force on 11th September 2023 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

Details of alternative route
An alternative route is available around the area of working on the Sydney Cottage site. Pedestrians are advised to follow the alternative route.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit users on the following:

That length of Public Footpath No. 2 in the Parish of Leighton, which commences at SJ 6868 5828 and runs in a generally easterly direction for approximately 273m to SJ 6896 5829.

The closure is necessary to prevent the public from danger due construction work on or near the footpath.

An alternative route is in place on site. The closure continues the restriction that came into force on 13 July 2023 and will continue in force for a period from that date for six months.
