THE LEICESTER (GROBY CORRIDOR 4) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles of all vehicles in an eastbound direction and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Woodgate between its junctions with Blackbird Road and with Bassett Street from 12.00am on Thursday 10th August 2023 until 11.59pm on Friday 25th August 2023, and on Friday 15th September 2023.
Diversion route: Blackbird Road, Ravensbridge Drive, Abbey Gate.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles of all vehicles in a southbound direction and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Blackbird Road between its junctions with Bradgate Street and with Woodgate from 10.30am until 11.00pm each day from Thursday 24th August 2023 until Friday 25th August 2023, and from Friday 8th September 2023 until Monday 11th September 2023.
Diversion route: Ravensbridge Drive, Abbey Gate; Anstey Lane, Glenfrith Way, Groby Road.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles of all vehicles in a northbound direction and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Blackbird Road between its junctions with Bradgate Street and with Woodgate from 10.30am until 11.00pm on Tuesday 29th August 2023, and from Tuesday 12th September 2023 until Wednesday 13th September 2023.
Diversion route: Woodgate, Abbey Gate, Ravensbridge Drive; Groby Road, Glenfrith Way, Anstey Lane.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Woodgate between its junctions with Blackbird Road and with Marshall Street from 10.30am until 11.00pm each day from Wednesday 30th August 2023 until Thursday 31st August 2023, and on Thursday 14th September 2023.
Diversion route: Blackbird Road, Ravensbridge Drive, Abbey Gate. Suspend existing one-way restriction on Balfour Street in its entirety from 10.30am until 11.00pm each day from Wednesday 30th August 2023 until Thursday 31st August 2023.
Prohibit waiting and loading (west side) on Brading Road in its entirety from 10.30am until 11.00pm each day from Wednesday 30th August 2023 until Thursday 7th September 2023, and from Thursday 14th September 2023 until Friday 22nd September 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles in a northbound direction, except buses, on Brading Road between its junctions with Groby Road and with Barton Road from 10.30am until 11.00pm each day from Wednesday 30th August 2023 until Thursday 7th September 2023, and from Thursday 14th September 2023 until Friday 22nd September 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles in an eastbound direction and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Groby Road between a point west of its junction with Medina Road and with Fosse Road North from 10.30am until 11.00pm on Friday 1st September 2023, and on Friday 15th September 2023.
Diversion route: Groby Road, Glenfrith Way, Anstey Lane, Blackbird Road.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles in an eastbound direction and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Groby Road between a point west of its junction with Fosse Road North and with Woodgate from 10.30am until 11.00pm on Monday 4th September 2023, and from Monday 18th September 2023 until Tuesday 19th September 2023.
Diversion route: as above.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles in a westbound direction and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Groby Road between a point west of its junction with Medina Road and with Fosse Road North from 10.30am until 11.00pm on Tuesday 5th September 2023, and on Wednesday 20th September 2023.
Diversion route: as above.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles in a westbound direction and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Groby Road between a point west of its junction with Fosse Road North and with Woodgate from 10.30am until 11.00pm each day from Wednesday 6th September 2023 until Thursday 7th September 2023, and from Thursday 21st September 2023 until Friday 22nd September 2023.
Diversion route: as above.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Medina Road between its junction with Groby Road and a point 30 metres north thereof from 10.30am until 3.30pm on Friday 15th September 2023.
The Order will come into effect on the 10th August 2023 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
