THE LEICESTER (MARWOOD ROAD) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Marwood Road between its junctions with Beaumont Leys Lane and with Halifax Drive from 6.00am on Saturday 12th August 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 27th August 2023.
Diversion route: Beaumont Leys Lane, Halifax Drive.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Wheatley Road between its junction with Marwood Road and a point 30 metres north thereof from 6.00am on Saturday 12th August 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 27th August 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Saunderson Road between its junction with Marwood Road and a point 30 metres south thereof from 6.00am on Saturday 12th August 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 27th August 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Appleton Avenue between its junction with Marwood Road and a point 30 metres north thereof from 6.00am on Saturday 12th August 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 27th August 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Burdett Way between its junction with Marwood Road and a point 30 metres south thereof from 6.00am on Saturday 12th August 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 27th August 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Hattern Avenue between a point 30 metres north and a point 30 metres south of its junction with Marwood Road from 6.00am on Saturday 12th August 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 27th August 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Ingold Avenue between its junction with Marwood Road and a point 30 metres south thereof from 6.00am on Saturday 12th August 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 27th August 2023.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Blenheim Way between its junction with Marwood Road and a point 30 metres north thereof from 6.00am on Saturday 12th August 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 27th August 2023.
The Order will come into effect on the 12th August 2023 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
This order is made to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works and to prevent the likeliness of danger to the public. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
