Church Gate - Road Traffic Regulation to Facilitate the Installation of Security Bollards

THE LEICESTER (CHURCH GATE) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Church Gate between its junction with St Peters Lane and a point 10 metres south thereof from 7.30am on Monday 14th August 2023 until 6.00pm on Friday 22nd September 2023.

Diversion route: Church Gate, Gravel Street, Abbey Street, Burleys Way, Vaughan Way, St Nicholas Circle, St Nicholas Place, High Street, East Gates, Church Gate.

The Order will come into effect on the 14th August 2023 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.

This order is made to facilitate the installation of security bollards and to prevent the likeliness of danger to the public.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
