THE LEICESTER (GREY FRIARS) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Grey Friars between its junction with Friar Lane and a point 30 metres north thereof from 7.30am on Monday 14th August 2023 until 6.00pm on Friday 15th September 2023.

Diversion route: St Martins, Peacock Lane, Southgates, Friar Lane.

The Order will come into effect on the 14th August 2023 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.

This order is made to facilitate the installation of security bollards and to prevent the likeliness of danger to the public.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
