What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
Carey Close, New Romney TN28 8XF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Carey Close, New Romney, on or after 14th August 2023 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 33 to number 36. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Josephs Way, Carey Close and vice versa.
Folkestone Air Display, Various Roads, Folkestone (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & NO WAITING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow Folkestone Display event to be held, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Folkestone, on or after 19th August 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed as detailed below, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Restriction: Road Closure from 20:00 hours on 19th August 2023 until 21:00 hours on 20th August 2023.
Road Name: The Leas.
Extent: Between Langhorne Gardens and Clifton Road.
Restriction: Road Closures on 20th August 2023, between 08:00 hours and 21:00 hours.
Road Name: The Leas. Extent: Between Clifton Road and West Terrace. Road Name: West Terrace
Extent: Between Sandgate Road and The Leas.
Road Name: Longford Terrace, Longford Way, Playdell Gardens, Shakespeare Terrace, Langhorne Gardens, Clifton Gardens, Clifton Road, Clifton Crescent, Trinity Crescent, Earls Avenue, Metropole Road East and Metropole Road West.
Extent: The entire length.
Road Name: Cheriton Place.
Extent: Between Sandgate Road and The Leas.
Road Name: The Leas.
Extent: Between Earls Avenue and Metropole Road East.
Restriction: Road Closures on 20th August 2023, between 11:00 hours and 21:00 hours.
Road Name: Road of Remembrance, Radnor Street, Beach Street, The Stade, Fish Market and Back Street.
Extent: The entire length. Restriction: No Waiting/Parking from 20:00 hours on 19th August 2023 until 20:00 hours on 20th August 2023.
Road Name: A260 The Tram Road, The Leas and Langhorne Gardens.
Extent: The entire length.
Road Name: Radnor Park West. Extent: Between Wilton Road and A2034 Cheriton Road.
Road Name: Coolinge Lane.
Extent: Between the entrance to The Folkestone School for Girls and Bathurst Road.
Road Name: Earls Avenue.
Extent: Between A2033 Sandgate Road and Clifton Crescent.
Guildhall Street North, Folkestone CT20 1EQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Guildhall Street North, Folkestone, on or after 14th August 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Coolinge Lane and Darby Place. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Coolinge Road, A2034 Cheriton Road, A2033 Middelburg Square, Foresters Way, A2033 Grace Hill, A2033 Foord Road, Ship Street, Bournemouth Road, Broadmead Road, Wiltie Gardens, A259 Radnor Park Road A259 Cheriton Road, A2034 Cheriton Road and Coolinge Road.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Connaught Road, A2034 Cheriton Road, A2033 Middelburg Square, Foresters Way, A2033 Grace Hill, A2033 Foord Road, Ship Street, Bournemouth Road, Broadmead Road, Wiltie Gardens, A259 Radnor Park Road A259 Cheriton Road, A2034 Cheriton Road and Victoria Grove.
Holly Hill & From North Elham Hill To Bunkers Hill, Elham CT4 6NN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow vegetation cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holly Hill & From North Elham Hill To Bunkers Hill, Elham, on or after 17th August 2023 for up to 1 hour or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Little Oxroad Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via From North Elham Hill To Bunkers Hill, From Bunkers Hill To Canterbury Road, Canterbury Road, North Elham Hill and vice versa.
Longford Way, Folkestone CT20 9GU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Longford Way, Folkestone, on or after 29th August 2023 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Cheriton Place and Longford Terrace, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cheriton Place, Sandgate Road, West Terrace, The Leas, Shakespeare Terrace and vice versa.
Shuttlesfield Lane, Ottinge CT4 6XH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shuttlesfield Lane, Ottinge, on or after 29th August 2023 for up to 18 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Slip Road and Canterbury Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Slip Road, Beresforstal Hill, Canterbury Road and vice versa.
