What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 -  KIRKLEES COUNCIL

(GLENLOW ROAD, DEWSBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Glenlow Road, Dewsbury from its junction with Leeds Road to its junction with Rathlin Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Leeds Road, High Street, Rathlin Road and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 21st August 2023 and remain in force until 5th September 2023 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(UNION STREET/REGENT STREET, HECKMONDWIKE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Heckmondwike:- Union Street - from its junction with Willow Tree Court to its junction with Westgate Regent Street - from its junction with Union Street to its junction with Westgate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Westgate, Wormald Street, Union Street. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 21st August 2023 and remain in force until 28th August 2023 between 18:30 -06:00 hours each day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ST PEG LANE, CLECKHEATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of St Peg Lane, Cleckheaton from a point outside property no. 33 to a point outside property no. 47 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of St Peg Lane, Dewsbury Road, Bradford Road, Leeds Road, Gomersal Road, Oxford Road, Spen Lane, Spen Bank and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday, 7th August 2023 between 19:00 - 23:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HIGH STREET/BATLEY ROAD, HECKMONDWIKE) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in a westerly direction in that length of High Street/Batley Road, Heckmondwike from its junction with Hollinbank Road to its junction with Hill Top Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:- Vehicles from Dewsbury - via A638 (Dewsbury Ring Road), A644 (Huddersfield Road), B617 (Temple Road), B6177 (Heckmondwike Road/ Walkley Lane/Market Street), A638 (High Street); Vehicles from Batley - via B6122 (White Lee Road), A62 (Huddersfield Road/Leeds Road), A638 Frost Hill/Flush/Westgate/High Street). It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 7th August 2023 and remain in force until 11th August 2023 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MOORLANDS AVENUE, DEWSBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Moorlands Avenue, Dewsbury from a point outside property no. 1 to a point outside property no. 29 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Northfield Road, Halifax Road, Willans Road and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 9th August 2023 and remain in force until 11th August 2023 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ACER WAY, SCHOLES, CLECKHEATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Acer Way, Scholes from a point outside property no. 1 to a point outside property no. 6 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. There is no alternative diversionary route available. Access maintained for residents and Emergency Service Vehicles only. It is intended that the closure will operate on Wednesday, 9th August 2023 between 09:00 - 14:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WELLHOUSE LANE, MIRFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wellhouse Lane, Mirfield from a point outside property no. 4B to a point outside property no. 14 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:- Diversion 1 - via Wellhouse Lane, Flash Lane, Hepworth Lane; Diversion 2 - via Wellhouse Lane, Lockwood Avenue, Crossley Lane, Northorpe Lane, Shillbank Lane, Flash Lane. It is intended that the closure will commence on Friday, 11th August 2023 and remain in force until 14th August 2023 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
