Mount Road - Temporary Road Closure For Utility Works
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order: ORDER NO. MCC134777727:
The City of Manchester (Mount Road, Longsight Ward) (Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to make Mount Road One Way from Kirkmanshulme Lane to Hyde Road (permitted direction of travel).
The alternative routes for traffic will be:
1. Hyde Road, Whitwell Way, Wall Way, Reddish Lane, Gorton Road, Longford Road West, Nelstrop Road North, Barlow Road, Mount Road
2. Hyde Road, Pottery Lane, Kirkmanshulme Lane, Stockport Road, Matthews Lane, Mount Road.
The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate utility works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 12th August to 25th August 2023. The Order shall come into operation on 22nd July 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
