(LOZELLS LOW TRAFFIC NEIGHBOURHOOD) (TRAFFIC REGULATION) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2023
(LOZELLS LOW TRAFFIC NEIGHBOURHOOD) (ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2023
(BARKER STREET & HUNTERS ROAD, LOZELLS) (PROHIBITION OF ENTRY) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named Council have made the above Orders under Sections 9, 10(1) and 10(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be as follows: 

1. Introduce and amend waiting restrictions on lengths of HAMSTEAD ROAD, TERRACE ROAD, WESTON ROAD, BARKER STREET, LOZELLS ROAD, CARPENTERS ROAD, FINCH ROAD, ARCHIBALD ROAD, HEATHFIELD ROAD, LEONARD ROAD and LOZELLS STREET

2. Introduce and amend lengths of one-way traffic restrictions (with exemption for pedal cycling) on lengths of LEONARD ROAD, ROLAND ROAD, FINCH ROAD, LIME GROVE, BERNERS STREET, LOZELLS STREET, WILLS STREET, CARPENTERS ROAD, BURBURY STREET, ANGLESEY STREET, CHURCH STREET and GEORGE STREET

3. Introduce lengths of one-way traffic restrictions on lengths of ST. SILAS SQUARE

4. Introduce and formalise no entry restrictions on BARKERS STREET at its junction with John Street and HUNTERS ROAD at its junction with Villa Road

The Orders will come into operation on 10th August 2023.

The above-named Council will consider in due course whether these Experimental Orders should be made permanent. Persons wishing to object to the making of the permanent Order must, within six months of the date the Order comes into operation or the date of any modification which might be made, send a statement in writing, including the grounds for their objection to the Assistant Director Transport & Connectivity, PO Box 14439, Birmingham, B2 2JE.

If any person wishes to question the validity of these Orders or of any of the provisions contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order may within 6 weeks from the 3rd August 2023 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
