Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
A229 Bluebell Hill & Maidstone Rd, Aylesford. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow the annual high speed maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A229 Blue Bell Hill & Maidstone Road, Aylesford, from 19.00 hours on 10th August 2023, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on 11th August 2023, or until the works have been completed.
A229 Blue Bell Hill & Maidstone Road will be closed from the underpass from the northbound off slip to Lord Lees Roundabout onto the overbridge to the Southbound off slip to Bridgewood Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via:- Northbound - off-slip to Lord Lees Roundabout, Lord Lees Roundabout, link road to Bridgewood Roundabout, Bridgewood Roundabout, on-slip to A229. Southbound - off-slip to Bridgewood Roundabout, Bridgewood Roundabout, link road to Lord Lees Roundabout, Lord Lees Roundabout, on-slip to A229.
Castle Street, Tonbridge. TN9 1EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow sewer works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Castle Street, Tonbridge, from 19.00 hours on 13th August 2023, with estimated completion by 06.00 hours on 14th August 2023, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The closure on Castle Street will be in conjunction with temporary traffic signals placed on the High Street.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lansdowne Road, Annison Street, The Slade and vice versa.
Comp Lane, Offham. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Comp Lane, Offham, on or after 23rd August 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Bramble Hall Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via B2016 Seven Mile Lane, Teston Road, Comp Lane and vice versa.
Forstal Road, Aylesford. ME20 7BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Forstal Road, Aylesford, on or after 7th August 2023, with estimated completion by 9th August 2023, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the High Street junction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is:-
Northbound - Forstal Road, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, A229 Bluebell Hill, Kits Coty Slip Northbound Off, Rochester Road.
Southbound – Rochester Road, Kits Coty Slip Southbound on, A229 Bluebell Hill, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, Forstal Road.
Leigh Road, Hildenborough. TN11 9AQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow bridge repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Leigh Road, Hildenborough, on or after 7th August 2023, for up to 4 days, between the hours of 22.00 and 05.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Leigh Road, Stocks Green Road, Hildenborough Road, Powder Mill Lane and vice versa.
Lunsford Lane & Partridge Avenue, Larkfield. ME19 5RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lunsford Lane & Partridge Avenue, Aylesford, on or after 7th August 2023, with estimated completion by 31st August 2023, or until the works have been completed.
Lunsford Lane will be closed between the junctions of Willow Road and Partridge Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Partridge Avenue will be closed from the junction with Lunsford Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is:-
Lunsford Lane - Lunsford Lane, A20 London Road, New Hythe Lane, Leybourne Way, Gighill Road.
Partridge Avenue - Partridge Avenue, Lunsford Lane, A20 London Road, New Hythe Lane, Leybourne Way, Gighill Road.
Plough Hill, Basted. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Plough Hill, Basted, on or after 7th August 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Orchard House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Basted Lane, Long Mill Lane, Crouch Lane, A25 Maidstone Road, Quarry Hill Road, Thong Lane, Basted Mill, Plough Hill and vice versa.
Riding Lane, Hildenborough. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Riding Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 9th August 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Hildenborough Road and Vines Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Shipbourne Road, Underriver House Road, Mill Lane, Vines Lane, Riding Lane and vice versa.
School Lane, Wouldham. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of School Lane, Wouldham, on or after 23rd August 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
This closure will only be when the workforce are on site. It will be removed on Thursday 24th August 2023 only, to allow the bus services to operate freely.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 168, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way, Knowle Road, High Street, School Lane and vice versa.
Sevenoaks Road, Borough Green. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sevenoaks Road, Borough Green, from 20.00 hours on 8th August 2023, with estimated completion by 06.00 hours on 9th August 2023, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 31, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A25 Maidstone Road, A20 London Road, A20 Wrotham Heath Roundabout, A20 London Road, A227 Wrotham Bypass, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Western Road and vice versa.
Three Elm Lane, Golden Green. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Three Elm Lane, Golden Green, on or after 21st August 2023, for up to 12 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the village hall, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Three Elm Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Tonbridge Road, A228 Seven Mile Lane, A228 Hale Street By Pass, Maidstone Road, Hale Street, Old Road, Snoll Hatch Road, Addlestead Road, Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
Tumblefield Road, Stansted. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tumblefield Road, Stansted, on or after 21st August 2023, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Stansted Lodge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Tumblefield Road, Labour In Vain Road, Plaxdale Green Road and vice versa.
Western Road, Borough Green. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Western Road, Borough Green, on or after 21st August 2023, for up to 10 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 14, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A25 Sevenoaks Road, A25 Maidstone Road, A20 London Road, Wrotham Heath Roundabout, A20 London Road, A227 Wrotham Bypass, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wrotham Road & vice versa.
Worcester Avenue, Kings Hill. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2023
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Worcester Avenue, Kings Hill, from 22.00 hours on 10th August 2023, with estimated completion by 06.00 hours on 11th August 2023, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Chestnut Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
