Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
ASHFORD AREA
A252 Charing Hill & Pilgrims Way (30MPH SPEED LIMIT & PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30MPH speed limit on part of A252 Charing Hill, on or after 7th August 2023 for up to 36 days or until the works have been completed and prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, on or after 12th September 2023 for up to 43 days or until the works have been completed.
A252 Charing Hill, will have a mandatory 30MPH speed limit, from the race course entrance to the junction with Pilgrims Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Pilgrims Way will be closed between the junctions of A252 Charing Hill and Toll lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A252 Charing Hill, The Hill, Pett Lane, Toll Lane and vice versa.
Ashford Road, Hamstreet TN26 2EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashford Road, Hamstreet, on or after 26th August 2023 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 23:45 and 07:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, Marsh Road, The Street and vice versa.
Bank Road, Mersham TN25 7HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bank Road, Mersham, on or after 10th August 2023 for up to 1 hour or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Laws Lane and Frith Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Laws Lane, Frith Road and vice versa.
Beckett Road, Appledore TN26 2DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beckett Road, Appledore, on or after 23rd August 2023 for up to 7 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 23:00 and 05:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2080 Station Road, B2080 Rhee Wall Road, B2080 Rhee Wall, A259 Straight Lane, A259 Brookland Bypass, A259 Rye Road and vice versa.
Brockmans Lane, Kingsnorth TN25 7JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brockmans Lane, Kingsnorth, on or after 8th August 2023 for up to 1 hour or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Chequer Tree Farm Road and Finn Farm Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00 only.
To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chequer Tree Farm Road, Frith Road, Ashford Road, Stone Cross Road, Capel Road, Hamstreet Road, Church Hill, Finn Farm Road and vice versa.
Bybrook Road, Kennington TN24 9JA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bybrook Road, Kennington, on or after 9th August 2023 for up to 22 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed, from A28 Canterbury Road to the junction with Nine Acres, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, A2042 Faversham Road, The Pasture and vice versa.
Godinton Road, Ashford TN23 1NB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, SUSPENSION OF PARKING & SUSPENSION OF BUS & TAXI LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Godinton Road, Ashford, on or after 7th August 2023 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Sackville Crescent and West Street, to the actual extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Godinton Road will have a suspension of parking between the junctions of James Street and West Street.
The bus and taxi lane will be suspended on Sackville Crescent and Carlton Road to allow access.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via West Street, A292 Forge Lane, A292 New Street, A292 Chart Road, A292 Maidstone Road South Of Simone Weil Roundabout, A28 Templer Way, Carlton Road and Sackville Crescent.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Sackville Crescent, Carlton Road, A28 Templer Way, A292 Maidstone Road South Of Simone Weil Roundabout, A292 Maidstone Road, New Street, A292 Forge Lane and West Street.
Mundy Bois Road, Egerton TN27 9ER (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mundy Bois Road, Egerton, on or after 21st August 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Blackthorn Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rock Hill Road, New Road, Egerton Road, Forge Hill, Smarden Road, The Pinnock, C86 Mundy Bois Road junction with C146 Pinnock Road to junctions with Green Hill Lane and vice versa.
New Rents, Ashford TN23 1LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Rents, Ashford, on or after 24th August 2023 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 8, between the hours of 08:30 and 17:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pilgrims Way, Westwell TN25 4NQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Westwell, on or after 7th August 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Westwell Lane and Amberleaze, to the actual extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Westwell Lane, Gold Hill, Westwell Lane, Amberleaze and vice versa.
The Street, Brook TN25 5PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Brook, on or after 21st August 2023 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Spelders Hill and Amage Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spelders Hill, Naccolt Road, Oxenturn Road, Upper Bridge Street, Scotton Street, Coldharbour Lane, Amage Road and vice versa.
The Street, Willesborough TN24 0YE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Willesborough, on or after 21st August 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A2070 Kennington Road and A20 Hythe Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. The one-way Order will be suspended to allow access. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2070 Kennington Road, A2070 Willesborough Interchange, A20 Hythe Road and vice versa.
