Wiltshire, Multiple Road Traffic Regulation Orders

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C219 (Part), Bratton; from its junction with Bury Lane to its junction with Lower Westbury Road to enable Openreach to carry out a pole renewal and associated works. Alternative route via C219 (unaffected length) - C49 - B3098 - C219 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 August 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. B) B3098 (Part), West Lavington; from a point approximately 90m east from its property known as East Sands for a distance of approximately 65m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out service repair and other associated works. Alternative route via B3098 (unaffected length) - Parsonage Lane - C20 - C228 - B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 August 2023 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600.

C) A3098 (Part), Chapmanslade; from its junction with Somerset County Boundary to its junction with Cleyhill Gardens to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A3098 (unaffected length) - A36 - A361 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 August 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 on weekdays until 01 September 2023. D) B3098 High Street (Part), Market Lavington; from its property known as No.61 High Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out an installation manhole chamber and associated works. Alternative route via B3098 (unaffected length) - A342 - A360 - B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 31 July 2023 and the closure will be required until 04 August 2023. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600.

E) C217 (Part), Westwood; from outside its property known as 86A Lower Westwood for a distance of approximately 60m in a westerly direction to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out installation of new service and associated works. Alternative route via C217 (unaffected length) - C222 - Jones Hill - B3109 - C217 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 31 July 2023 and the closure will be required for 5 days. For further information please contact Amberon on behalf of Wales & West Utilities on 0845 371 5050.

Orders A) to E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (No.27) 2023 (Ref TTRO 8796)

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice.

The order is required to enable carriageway micro asphalt dressing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 31 July 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closure is anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates.

Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 31 July 2023 and 02 October 2023.

1. Priory Close, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with B3108 to its junction with Priory Park.

2. Priory Park, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Priory Close for its entire length.

3. Kingsfield, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Woolley Street for its entire length.

4. Bradley Close, Holt; from its junction with Bradley Lane to its junction with Beales Barton.

5. Beales Barton, Holt; from its junction with Bradley Close for its entire length.

6. Fuller Avenue, Corsham; from its junction with Spackman Lane for its entire length.

7. Brakspear Drive, Corsham; from its junction with Fuller Avenue for its entire length.

8. Southerwicks, Corsham; from its junction with Furzehill for its entire length.

9. Beechfield Road, Corsham; from its junction with B3353 to its junction with Valley Road.

10. Brunel Close, Corsham; from its junction with Beechfield Road for its entire length.

11. Kirby Road, Corsham; from its junction with Beechfield Road for its entire length.

12. Mayo Close, Corsham; from its junction with Beechfield Road for its entire length.

13. Meadland, Corsham; from its junction with Beechfield Road for its entire length.

14. Elm Close, Corsham; from its junction with Beechfield Road for its entire length.

15. Birch Grove, Melksham Without; from its junction with Wellington Drive for its entire length.

16. Beaufort Close, Melksham Without; from its junction with Halifax Road for its entire length.

17. Kennedy Avenue, Melksham Without; from its junction with Middle Lane for its entire length.

Alternative routes:

1 - 8. No alternative route is available.

9. via Valley Road - B3533 and vice versa.

10 - 17. No alternative route is available.
