What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (RIPON ROAD & BUSHBURY LANE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding along the following stretches of road on the dates and times stipulated: It is anticipated that the below road closure will be in place from 27 July 2023 until 19 August 2023 (approximately): · Ripon Road closed its entire length in both directions (Access/Egress to frontages maintained). It is anticipated that the below road closure will be in place from 21 August 2023 until 25 August 2023 (approximately): · Bushbury Lane closed in both directions between its junctions with Ripon Road and Shaw Road. 

The vehicular diversion route is: Stafford Road, Three Tuns Lane, Elston Hall Road, Bushbury Lane and vice versa. The HGV diversion route is: Stafford Road, Old Stafford Road, New Road, Paradise Lane, Cat and Kittens Lane, Northycote Lane, Legs Lane, Bushbury Lane and vice versa. 

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months. The Order is required to facilitate sewer works under a Section 50 licence for a new development.
