London Way - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

(LONDON WAY, BAMBER BRIDGE, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. To temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle on A6 London Way, Bamber Bridge from turning left at its junction with A6 Lostock Lane, Bamber Bridge (Southbound Carriageway only).
2. To temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle on A582 Lostock Way, Bamber Bridge from turning left at its junction with A6 London Way, Bamber Bridge (Eastbound Carriageway only).
3. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
4. The prohibition will be operative overnight from 2100 hours on Wednesday 9th August 2023 until 0600 hours on Thursday 10th August 2023 or until completion of the works within this period.
5. A diversion for affected traffic will be signed locally.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow new cable installation works to be carried out by Sunbelt Rentals on behalf of BT Openreach.
