(TARMAC RESURFACING - VARIOUS ROADS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate essential carriageway maintenance works (“the Works”) and in order to facilitate traffic management, Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Order”). The effect of this Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:

i) Cotsford Road, Roby - From its junction with Twig Lane to its junction with Lincombe Road.

ii) Cotsford Place, Roby - For its entirety.

iii) Cotsford Way, Roby - For its entirety.

iv) Cotsford Close, Roby - For its entirety.

v) Lincombe Road, Roby - From its junction with Huyton House Road to its junction with Park View.

vi) Brook Hey Drive, Kirkby - From its junction with Roughwood Drive to its junction with Quernmore Walk.

vii) Bluebell Lane, Huyton - From its junction with Liverpool Road to its junction with Huyton Lane.

viii) Greensbridge Lane, Halewood - From its junction with Netherley Road to its junction with Bridge.

ix) Whitefield Lane, Halewood - From its junction with Cronton Rd to its junction with Netherley Road.

x) Fox’s Bank Lane, Whiston - From its junction with Cronton Rd to its junction with M62 Bridge.

xi) County Road, Kirkby - From its junction with Hall Lane to its junction with Arbour Lane.

xii) Knowsley Lane, Kirkby - From its junction with Stockbridge Lane to its junction with Radway Road.

xiii) Leeside Aveune, Kirkby - From its junction with Bewely Drive in an easterly direction to a point 20 metres away from its junction with Henlow Avenue.

xiv) Bigdale Drive, Kirkby - From its junction with Old Rough Lane to its junction with Brookhey Drive.

The diversion route for vehicles affected by the road closures is via:

i) Cotsford Road, Roby - Twig Lane, Park View, Lincombe Road.

ii) Cotsford Place, Roby - No diversion route available, access to be maintained.

iii) Cotsford Way, Roby - No diversion route available, access to be maintained.

iv) Cotsford Close, Roby - No diversion route available, access to be maintained.

v) Lincombe Road, Roby - Liverpool Road, Page Moss Avenue, Green Way, Aylton Road.

vi) Brook Hey Drive, Kirkby - Roughwood Drive, Simonswood Lane, Brookhey Drive and vice versa.

vii) Bluebell Lane, Huyton - Blue Bell Lane, Huyton Lane, Liverpool Road and vice versa.

viii) Greensbridge Lane, Halewood - Netherley Road, Caldway Drive, Wood Lane, Old Wood Lane, Winster Drive, Gerrards Lane, Church Road, Cartbridge Lane, Greensbridge Lane and vice versa.

ix) Whitefield Lane, Huyton - Cronton Road, M62 J6 Roundabout, M57 Junction 1 From Juntion 2 Off Slip, M62 Junction 6 Form Borough Boundary Off Slip, Prescot Road, Water Lane, Netherley Road, Whitefield Lane and vice versa.

x) Fox’s Bank Lane, Whiston - Cronton Road, M62 J6 Roundabout, Knowsley Expressway, M57 Junction 1 From Juntion 2 Off Slip, Windy Arbor Road, Lickers Lane, Foxs Bank Lane.

xi) County Road, Kirkby - County Road, South Boundary Road, Moorgate Road, Bewley Drive, Valley Road, Hall Lane.

xii) Knowsley Lane, Kirkby - Knowsley Lane, Radway Road, Lyme Cross Road, Liverpool Road, Seth Powell Way, M57 Junction 3 From A526 On Slip, Stockbridge Lane.

xiii) Leeside Aveune, Kirkby - Leeside Avenue, Wellfield Avenue, Cherryfield Drive, Bewley Drive, Rusland Road, Henlow Avenue.

xiv) Bigdale Drive, Kirkby - Old Rough Lane, Roughwood Drive, Brookhey Drive and vice versa.

It is anticipated that the works will take place between July 2023 and October 2024.

The Order will come into force in July 2023 and will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
