U9702 Dene View Drive - Temporary Road Closure

U9702 DENE VIEW DRIVE BLYTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9702 Dene View Drive Blyth from its junction with U9505 The Orchards heading east for a distance of 200 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 7th August 2023 until the 31st December 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 7th August 2023 until the 8th August 2023 between the hours of 8:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st December 2023.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Briardale Road, Tynedale Drive, Brierley Road and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to install speed humps and carriageway patching. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
