What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Chapel Lane, Yetminster

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CHAPEL LANE, YETMINSTER between The Ark and Lower Farm Cottage, a distance of approximately 50 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 07 August 2023 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 August 2023.

This Order will enable DK Eastment, safe access to carry out a sewer connection.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; High Street

Temporary Closure of Bradford Road, Sherborne

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Bradford Road, Sherborne from the junction with A352 to the entrance to The Oxley Sport Centre Car park (in both directions), a distance of approximately 270 metres, access will be maintained for businesses and residents.

In addition to the road closure on Bradford Road a Temporary 30mph Speed Limit will be in force on A352 Horsecastles Lane from the junction with A30 to the junction with Ridgeway (in both directions).

The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24th July 2023 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1st September 2023.

This Order will enable SGN to decommision, remove and replace 280 metres of Gas main including associated disconnections and connections.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using A352, A30, Bradford Road and vice versa.

Temporary Traffi c Management Order of Pierston Fields, Milton on Stour

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 31st July 2023 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4th August 2023.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of this Order is as follows:

[i] To impose temporary road closure of Pierston Fields, Milton on Stour as indicated by signs on site.

[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Pierston Fields, Milton on Stour. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
