Lickey Road - Temporary Road Closure For Carriageway Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED) SECTION 14(2)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle to proceed along Lickey Road between Longbridge Island and Rosehill Island.

The temporary Order is required for Carriageway Resurfacing Works to be carried out in Safety.

An alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be signed on site.
Access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.

These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The Order will come into operation on Monday 31st July 2023 and will remain in force for a period of 10 weeks or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
