(The Stream and Old Gloucester Road, Hambrook) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) (Temporary Suspension of One Way Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to:- a) close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and b) suspend, temporarily, when the signs are covered, the one way traffic working, to any vehicle proceeding in the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice, to facilitate the diversion route. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order will be operative from 14 August 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Newton Road which extends from Newton Drive to Hampton Close. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon sewer installation works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 14 August 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Bury Hill which extends from a point 265m south west of Cuckoo Lane south westwards for 390m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole renewal works on or adjacent to the highway. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of the northbound carriageway of Gloucester Road which extends from M5 junction 16 to its junction with Oaklands Drive. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with electric and gas main laying works. The order became operative from 22 July 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 1 night duration, between the hours of 10pm and 6am. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Besom Lane which extends from a point 510m east of Westerleigh Road generally eastwards for 170m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with pole renewal and tree cutting works. The order became operative from 25 July 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Ashwicke Road which extends from Sheepfair Lane southwards for 125m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon fire hydrant installation works on or adjacent to the highway. Construction of Road Humps – Barry Road and Cherry Garden Road, Bitton Details of the proposed changes
NOTICE is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (hereinafter called ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with section 90C(1) of the Act and those bodies or persons prescribed by the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 (hereinafter called ‘the Regulations’) and in accordance with section 90C(2) of the Act intends to construct road humps in the form of speed tables at the locations in Bitton specified below:- Barry Road – centred at a point 44m south of the centre line of Oakleigh Gardens; centred at a point 68m north of the centre line of Oakleigh Gardens; centred at a point 93m north of the centre line of The Beeches and Cherry Garden Road – centred at a point 24m south of the centre line of Cherry Garden Lane. The road humps will extend over the full width of the carriageway and be 8 metres in length and 75 millimetres in maximum height, subject to the tolerances permitted in the Regulations (all distances and measurements are approximate). (Various Roads, Winterbourne) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that on 12 July 2023 South Gloucestershire District Council made an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which is to: a) prohibit vehicles waiting at any time in lengths of B4058 Bristol Road, B4058 Whiteshill, Moorend Road, Quarry Barton and Worrells Lane, Winterbourne; and b) vary further the South Gloucestershire Council (Southern Brooks Area) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Consolidation) Order 2012, as varied, in so far as it relates to the lengths of road specified in item a) above, the provisions of which will be brought forward into the new order. 
Exemptions in the order permit any vehicle to wait for the purpose of boarding or alighting; loading or unloading goods; Post Office services; maintenance of the road; supply of gas, water or electricity; the pursuance of statutory powers or duties; taking in petrol, oil, water or air from any garage; weddings or funerals and in accordance with the current provisions for vehicles which display a disabled person’s badge. The order will come into operation on 20 July 2023 and a copy thereof together with a map, copies of any orders to be varied/ revoked and a copy of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the order, may be inspected at Winterbourne Public Library, Flax Pits Lane, Winterbourne, South Gloucestershire, during normal opening hours. (Westerleigh Lane, Emersons Green) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to suspend, temporarily, the bus lane in that length of Westerleigh Lane, Emersons Green which extends from the end of the bus lane westwards for 47.4m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the facilitation of temporary access to a construction site. The order will be operative from 14 August 2023 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The measures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 18 months duration.

(Off Street Parking Places) (Kings Chase Shopping Centre Car Park) (Variation No. 1) Order 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that on 12 July 2023 South Gloucestershire District Council made an order under sections 32,33 and 35 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which is to set the car parking stay and return times for Kings Chase Shopping Centre Car Park, Kingswood:- a) Motor cars, motor cycles and electric vehicles may stay 4 hours, no return within 4 hours; b) Permit holders may stay 10 hours, no return within 4 hours; c) Disabled person’s vehicles, no time limit; and d) vary the South Gloucestershire Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2022 in favour of item a) to item c) above. The car park will be free to use. Limitations and restrictions will apply. Multi Storey car park hours of access are restricted and enforced by the closure of barriers at the entrance and exit to the car park. Parking is permitted as follows: Monday - Wednesday 06.30 - 19.15; Thursday & Friday 06.30 - 20.15; Saturday 07.30 - 19.15 and Sunday 07.30 - 17.15. The surface level car park remains unlocked 24 hours a day. Notice is hereby given that the above order, made by South Gloucestershire District Council on 12 January 2022, has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 30 January 2024 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the order has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers and pedal cycles the lengths of footpath and cycle paths specified in the Schedule to this notice. In the event that an appeal is made against the decision of the Council to refuse to grant planning permission for the proposed development, and that appeal then proceeds by way of the expedited procedure under the written representations procedure, any representations made to the council about this application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations.
