What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.90) ORDER 2023. THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) (AMENDMENT NO.35) ORDER 2023.

NOTICE is hereby given that Luton Borough Council, the Highway Authority for the said Borough, on 17th July 2023 made the above Orders under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The Orders will come into effect on 25th July 2023. The Orders will:

1. Include Kennington Road and Tudor Road into the Controlled Parking Zone (AB), the controlled parking zone on these two roads will operate between 8am and 6pm on Monday to Friday inclusive.
2. Introduce a one way system on Kennington Road from Denbigh Road to Biscot Road.
3. Introduce a one way system on Denbigh Road from Beaumont Road to Holland Road.
4. Extend the existing one way system on Saxon Road to start from Biscot Road continuing to Leagrave Road.
5. Extend the existing one way system on Althorp Road to start from Biscot Road continuing to Leagrave Road.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that they are not within the powers contained in the above Act or any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
