Noel Road & Horn Lane - Temporary Road Closure For Installing New Customer Cable & Ducting
What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS AFFECTING: NOEL ROAD & HORN LANE, ACTON.
Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 3929 Noel Road & Horn Lane, Acton - 2023.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve JSM Construction and Virgin Media installing new customer cable & Ducting.
Effect of order
1. Noel Road will be closed at its junction with Horn Lane from 31st July 2023 until 8th August 2023.
2. Horn Lane from 10th August to 24th August 2023 will have its bus lane suspended in a northerly direction from the junction of Noel Road to a point outside property number 357 Horn Lane so that all traffic can use it.
3. No right turn from Horn Lane in a southerly direction into Noel Road from 10th August until 24th August 2023.
4. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 31st July 2023:
(a) No entry into the fully closed section of Noel Road & Horn Lane.
(b) No waiting, loading, or unloading on either side of the carriageway within the fully closed section.
5. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
6. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.
7. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force. 31st July 2023
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 30th January 2025 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 14th August 2023, whichever is sooner.
