Swarkestone Road - Temporary Road Closure For Detailed Inspection

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE SWARKESTONE ROAD, WESTON-ON-TRENT

WHEN: 4th August 2023 (09:30 to 19:30)
WHERE: Swarkestone Road, Weston-on-Trent at the railway bridge.
REASON: To facilitate detailed inspection.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Swarkestone Road, Main Street, Weston Road, Derby Road, London Road, Broad Lane, Shardlow Road, Snelsmoor Lane, High Street, A50 junction A514 roundabout, Unnamed section of A50 from A514 to A6 Interchange and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
