What is happening?

NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
 (TO INCLUDE A FOOTPATH RUNNING FROM MIDDLETON ROAD (AJDJACENT TO 300) SIDDAL FARM, MIDDLETON) (DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION) ORDER 2023

The above Order is made on 6th July, to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by the route which is located at Middleton Road to the side of N300 Grid Reference: E386425 N408511 it continues in a general west direction for 162 metres to a point 5 metres north of the most northerly corner of Oakridge Farm Grid Reference: E386265 N408543, proceeding in a westerly direction for 248 metres to the motorway (M62) fencing at Grid Reference: E3860626 N408543, following the M62 fencing continue in a west south west direction to a point located at the bottom of a hill at Grid Reference: E385800 N408441, the footpath runs up the hills to the track that serves Siddal Farm and Saxon Farm Grid Reference: E385783 N408438 as shown by the continuous bold black line on the Order Map over a total distance of approximately 675 metres with a width of approximately 1.5 metres over natural surface.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at the Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, from 9.00 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. on Monday to Friday and viewed on the Council’s website www.rochdale.gov.uk. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £5.00.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Assistant Director of Resources, Legal, Governance & Workforce, Rochdale Borough Council, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale OL16 1XU (quoting reference SG/EM003.103) not later than 31st August 2023. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Rochdale Borough Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
