CHESTNUT STREET, GRIMETHORPE
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Chestnut Street from house number 8 to house number 18, from 26 July 2023 for approximately one day.
Reason: Replace manhole cover and frame.
An alternative route is available via: Sycamore Avenue/Oak Street.

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION
An order will be made to introduce a 40mph speed limit for 30 metres either side of the junction of Berry Lane, from 25 July 2023 for approximately one day.

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION
An order has been made to introduce a 30mph speed restriction on the following:
· Dearne Valley Parkway from Kestrel Way Roundabout to Ryecroft Bank Roundabout, from 17 July 2023 or approximately seven weeks.
· Shortwood Way from Dearne Valley Parkway to the existing 30mph sign, from 17 July 2023 for approximately three weeks.

An order will be made to close Cooper Lane from Mount Pleasant Farm to No.56 Cooper Lane, from 24th July 2023 for approximately 4 weeks.
Reason: Overhead to underground electric works.

OLD MILL LANE/ELDON STREET NORTH, BARNSLEY
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close the following:
· Old Mill Lane between Huddersfield Road and Harborough Hill Road gyratory from 23 July for approximately 5 weeks. An alternative route for eastbound traffic is available via Church Street/Shambles Street/Townend Roundabout/Westway/Alhambra Roundabout/Harborough Hill Road. An alternative route for westbound traffic is available via Harborough Hill Road/Alhambra Roundabout/Westway/Townend Roundabout/Shambles Street/St Mary’s Place/Church Lane. Town centre weight restriction revoked whilst closure in place.
· Eldon Street North from Old Mill Lane to Honeywell Street from 23 July for approximately 1 week. An alternative route is available via Schwabisch Gmund Way/Kendray Street/Harborough Hill Road
Closures will be on a phased basis. Closures will be in place on weekdays between 1900 and 0500 and on Sundays between 1800 and 0500. There will be no closures on Friday and Saturday nights.

An order will be made to close Charles Street from outside No.17 to No.25, from 26th July 2023 for approximately 3 days.

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION
An order will be made to introduce the following restrictions on the below roads, from 24th July 2023 for approximately 8 weeks.
· Sheffield Road, Crow Edge – Temporary 40mph speed restriction from Sledbrook Farm to Wood Royd Hill Lane.
· Wood Royd Hill Lane, Crow Edge – Temporary 40mph speed restriction from Sheffield Road to Lower Maythorn Lane.

An order will be made to introduce a one-way restriction on the following:
· Dodworth Road, Barnsley between Townend Roundabout and Shaw Lane, allowing traffic to travel from Shaw Lane towards Townend Roundabout only from 24 July 2023 for approximately 2 weeks.
· Dodworth Road, Barnsley between Penny Pie Park and Shaw Lane, allowing traffic to travel from Shaw Lane towards Penny Pie Park only from 6 August 2023 for approximately 1 week.
An alternative route is available via Broadway/Keresforth Hill Road/Park Road/Sheffield Road/Alhambra Roundabout/Westway

QUEENS ROAD, BARNSLEY
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close the full length of Queens Road, Barnsley from 23 July for approximately 1 week. The one-way restriction on Windermere Road between Bala Street and Queens Road will be revoked whilst the works are in progress. An alternative route is available via Bala Street/Windermere Road.
The closure will be in place between 2000 and 0500 on weekdays and 1800 and 0500 on Sundays. No work on Friday and Saturday nights.

CAWTHORNE FOOTPATH NOS. 2, 3 & 5 & DARTON FOOTPATH NO. 7 TEMPORARY CLOSURE
An order has been made to close sections of Cawthorne footpath nos. 3 & 5 and Darton footpath no. 7 from 19 July until 14 August 2023, and Cawthorne footpath no. 2 from 25 July to the 10 August 2023 within the site of the Underneath the Stars Festival at Cinder Hill Farm, south of Cawthorne Park.

BARNSLEY COUNTY BOROUGH FOOTPATH 66
TEMPORARY CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Barnsley County Borough Footpath 66 from Kingsley Close to Wingfield Road commencing from 18 July until 19 July.
Reason: The two-day closure of the footpath between Kingsley Close and Wingfield Road is required for the installation of a telegraph pole (fibre).

An order has been made to close Thurgoland footpath 26 from the 17 July 2023 for up to 6 months.
Reason: Access to the Upper Don River and installation of a new fish pass. Works are expected to go on until November 2023.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Barnsley County Borough footpath 27 from Wood Lane to Royston Lane for 4 days commencing 25 July 2023.
Reason: Closure of the footpath between Wood Lane and Royston Lane for the safe replacement of the Gas main between 26 – 30 July 2023.
