ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, SINGLETON AREA, FYLDE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION, 20MPH AND 30MPH SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 12 July 2023 Lancashire County Council made the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 84 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the "County Council of Lancashire (Restricted Roads) (No.2) Order 1977" in full.
2. Introduce a 20mph speed limit in the following lengths of road:
a) Church Road, Singleton, from its junction with The Village to a point 55 metres north east of its junction with Miller Crescent;
b) Lodge Lane, Singleton, from its junction with Station Road/The Village for a distance of 65 metres in a northerly direction;
c) Miller Crescent, Singleton, the entire length;
d) Station Road, Singleton, from its junction with Carr Lane to its junction with Lodge Lane/The Village;
e) The Beeches, Singleton, the entire length;
f) The Village, Singleton, from its junction with Lodge Lane/Station Road to a point 20 metres north west of its junction with Weeton Road/Mile Road.
3. Introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
a) Station Road, Singleton, from its junction with Carr Lane for a distance of 240 metres in a south westerly direction;
b) Mile Road, Singleton, from its junction with The Village/Weeton Road for a distance of 201 metres in an easterly direction;
c) The Village, Singleton, from its junction with Weeton Road/Mile Road for a distance of 20 metres in a north westerly direction;
d) Weeton Road, Singleton, from its junction with The Village/Mile Road for a distance of 210 metres in a southerly direction;
e) Church Road, Singleton, from a point 55 metres north east of its junction with Miller Crescent for a distance of 225 metres in a north easterly direction;
f) Lodge Lane, Singleton, from a point 65 metres north of its junction with Station Road/The Village for a distance of 117.5 metres in a northerly direction.
This Order will come into force on the 17 July 2023. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Fylde Borough Council, Town Hall, Lytham St Annes, FY8 1LW, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx, quoting ref: LSG4/894.13916/AFR.
