Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the order: To implement ‘Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn’ Restrictions on the following lengths of road, Little Waltham, in the City of Chelmsford.
1. No person shall cause any vehicle heading northeast on A131 Braintree Road, Little Waltham, in the City of Chelmsford to make a Right-Hand Turn onto Sheepcotes Farm Access Road.
2. No person shall cause any vehicle heading northwest on Sheepcotes Farm Access Road, Little Waltham, in the City of Chelmsford to make a Right-Hand Turn onto A131 Braintree Road.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 14 July 2023.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(A414 Greenbury Way & A414 Three Mile Hill)
(Race for Life Event) (Special Event)
(Temporary 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Orders under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended):
Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Chelmsford, Margaretting and Writtle during the dates specified below. The exact times the restrictions will be in operation will be advertised in advance on site.
Road Description
A414 Greenbury Way – Eastbound and Westbound Carriageways From a point approximately 130m west of the junction with A414 Three Mile Hill Roundabout (known as the Widford Church Roundabout) which coincides with the existing 40mph speed limit, in a generally westerly direction for an approximate distance of 1860m to a point approximately 29m east of the junction with the Margaretting Road Roundabout.
A414 Three Mile Hill – Northeast bound Carriageway From a point approximately 26m northeast of the junction with the A12/A414 roundabout (known as Webbs Farm Roundabout) in a generally north-easterly direction for an approximate distance of 3069m to a point approximately 150m southwest of the junction with the A414 Greenbury Way Roundabout (known as the Widford Church Roundabout) which coincides with the existing 40mph speed limit.
The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 15 July 2023 20:00pm to 16 July 2023 20:00pm or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public while the Race for Life event is in progress. Members of the Public are advised to avoid using these routes if possible. Speed Enforcement cameras will be operating within he restricted lengths of road as specified.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into Operation 15 July 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until all the events have taken place, whichever is the earlier.
(Bekeswell Lane, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bekeswell Lane, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 25m north west of its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th August 2023 for 1 day or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA81283556 – Openreach).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Bekeswell Lane, Goat Hall Lane, Horse and Groom Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 20th July 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Breeds Road, Great Waltham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Breeds Road, Great Waltham in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 115m north east of its junction with Humphreys Farm Lane for a distance of approximately 310m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th August 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WDNJKV8LA – Openreach).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole recovery works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Breeds Road, Chignal Road, Hollow Lane, Roxwell Road, Rainsford Road, Parkway, Broomfield Road, Main Road, Main Road Roundabout, Braintree Road, Sheepcotes Roundabout, Essex Regiment Way, The Village, South Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 20th July 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Damases Lane, Boreham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Damases Lane, Boreham in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 100m south west of its junction with Main Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WD7T8P0B – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Hurrells Lane, Little Baddow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hurrells Lane, Little Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with New Lodge Chase for a distance of approximately 15m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WD0WGV3S – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Hurrells Lane, Hammonds Road, Church Road, Chapel Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 20th July 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Littley Green Road, Great Waltham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Littley Green Road, Great Waltham in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 60m north east of its junction with Lilley Park Lane for a distance of approximately 110m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th August 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAWDGCL84T002 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Stock Road, Stock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stock Road, Stock in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Downham Road for a distance of approximately 390m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th August 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30031275989 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance and repair works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Stock Road, A12, Chelmsford Road, Hutton Road, Rayleigh Road, London Road, High Street, Stock Road, High Street, Stock Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 20th July 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Anchor Street, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Anchor Street, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with New London Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th July 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WDRHRJ8YA – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Brook Lane, Rignals Lane & Pipers Tye, Galleywood)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Brook Lane, Galleywood in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Rignals Lane for a distance of approximately 395m in an easterly then south easterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Rignals Lane, Galleywood in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Brook Lane for a distance of approximately 175m in a southerly then south westerly direction.
3. To temporarily close that length of Pipers Tye, Galleywood in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Rignals Lane to its junction with Watchouse Road a distance of approximately 120m (works to be done in phases).
The closures are scheduled to commence on 17th July 2023 for 54 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001231974/48284/31970 – Cadent).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with De Beauvoir Chase for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAWBHW790N001 – Openreach).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maltings Road, Rettendon in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 245m north then north east of its junction with Hawk Hill for a distance of approximately 135m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th July 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC112KN-WICKFOR5088-ES-1 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while reinstatement works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Trinity Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Hill Road for a distance of approximately 15m in a north westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Hill Road, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Trinity Road for a distance of approximately 10m in a south westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 24th July 2023 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-2024A). The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2023 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001243052-01 – Cadent). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Whitfield Link, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 10m east of its junction with Waterson Vale for a distance of approximately 85m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st July 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA71091921RC – Openreach).
