What is happening?

(Ongar Road, Stondon Massey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ongar Road, Stondon Massey in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 710m northwest of its junction with Chivers Road for a distance of approximately 310m in a northwesterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th July 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA81575140RC – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Ongar Road, Stondon Road, Brentwood Road, Ongar Road, Blackmore Road, Hook End Road, Hook End Lane, Tipps Cross Lane, Ongar Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 5th July 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit on those lengths of roads in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.
3. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 5th July 2023, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/ leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Kavanaghs Road, Brentwood & Crescent Road, Warley - From the junction with Ashford Avenue to the junction with Vaughan Williams Way a distance of approximately 615m - Crescent Road, B186, Kings Road, A1023, Kavanagh Road and vice versa
(Weald Road, Brentwood) (Temporary Introduction of a Directional Lane Closure) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Weald Road, Brentwood (Northbound Only) in the Borough of Brentwood, from both of its junctions with High Street to its junction with Western Road a distance of approximately 45m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2023 for 2 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EN01362227 – Essex And Suffolk Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Kings Road, Queens Road, Coptfold Road, Ingrave Road, Shenfield Road, Ongar Road, Ongar Road Roundabout, Western Avenue, Western Road and vice versa.
