TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS CITY OF COVENTRY (NORTHBROOK ATHLETIC FUN RUN) ORDER 2023

Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has made a temporary Order to enable the Northbrook Athletic Fun Run (“the Event”) to take place safely. The Order will be in effect from 8:50 on Sunday 9th July 2023.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all vehicles from:-
(i) entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule below and/or
(ii) waiting, loading/unloading, or proceeding on the roads or lengths of roads listed in the Schedule below
(iii) To such extent and at such time as indicated by event marshals and prescribed traffic signs on site Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site. Any person requiring further information in connection with this order should contact Network Management on 07903 803505.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Exemptions to the Order will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or an accredited event marshal;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles when necessary at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the Event displaying the relevant photographic identification.

The Schedule

Bridle Brook Lane, Brown’s Lane, Clay Lane, Fenton Road, Green Lane, Hawkes Mill Lane, Hollyfast Lane, Oak Lane, Pikers Lane, Stonehouse Lane, Wall Hill Road, Washbrook Lane and Watery Lane.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS VARIOUS ROADS (MIDDLE RIDE), COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of which will prohibit waiting, loading and unloading, entering or proceeding of any vehicle on the entire lengths of road specified in The Schedule below when prescribed signs are displayed. The roads will be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for the various durations. The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Friday 7th July 2023 and is required for Section 278 works and associated works to be undertaken safely.

Diversion routes will be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works is directly in front of a property.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is envisaged that the works will be completed by 31st December 2023.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of said works;
(b) emergency service vehicles;
(c) and persons requiring reasonable vehicular access or egress to properties on the closed section of the road

EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS CITY OF COVENTRY (HALES STREET) (BUS GATE) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2023 CITY OF COVENTRY (CORPORATION STREET) (REVOCATION) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Experimental Traffic Regulation Orders (“the Orders”), which come into effect on 19th July 2023.

The Orders have been proposed as part of a traffic management scheme to try to improve safety and traffic flows through the Hales Street, Trinity Street, Cross Cheaping and The Burges area of the city centre by giving priority to pedestrians, public transport and cyclists.

The effect of the orders will be:
Hales Street – create a bus gate east of its junction with Bishop Street which prohibits vehicles other than buses, pedal cycles, hackney carriages, and permit holders (which will include private hire vehicles) entering the area Monday to Saturday between 10am & 6pm.

Corporation Street – revoke the existing bus gate on Corporation Street, located west of the junction with Bishop Street to provide an alternative route for drivers, who are not permitted through the new bus gate on Hales Street, to exit the area.

Residents on the affected lengths of road can apply for permits.

The Orders will be implemented initially on an experimental basis for eighteen (18) months, after which time they will be reviewed. The Council may then make the Orders permanent or abandon them.

A copy of this Notice, the sealed Orders, plan and Statement of Reasons for making the Orders may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’

Objections must be made in writing and must state the grounds on which they are made.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ALLESLEY FESTIVAL, COVENTRY 2023

Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 has made a temporary Order to enable Allesley Festival, Coventry (“the Event”) to take place safely. The Order will be in effect from 12:00 hours on Saturday 8th July 2023.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all vehicles from: -

(a) waiting, loading/unloading or proceeding on the roads or lengths of roads listed in the schedule below
(b) entering or proceeding on the roads of lengths of roads and through the junctions listed in the schedule below

The restrictions shall apply to such extent and at such time as indicated by event marshals and prescribed traffic signs on site.

Diversion(s) for pedestrian traffic and vehicular traffic will be as signed on site. Any person requiring further information in connection with this order should contact Network Management on 07903 803505.

Exemptions to the Order will be provided for:
