What is happening?

The Surrey County Council  Board School Road (D3663) Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023  Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Board School Road (D3663) Woking. Alternative Route: a) Portugal Road and North Road and; b) North Road, Boundary Road, (A320) Chertsey Road, and (C143) Chertsey Road. This Order is required to facilitate installation of stop tap and boundary box works for or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 August 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
