What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
A61 CHESTERFIELD ROAD, ALFRETON
TEMPORARY 40 / 30mph SPEED LIMIT
WHEN: 17th July 2023 (09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40mph (30mph past work site) on the A61 Chesterfield Road (Alfreton Duals), Alfreton from a point 570 metres north of its junction with the B6025 to a point adjacent the existing 30mph entry sign.
REASON: To facilitate highway maintenance works.
The restriction will be in force for the time stated or until the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40mph.
