NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

The Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the County of Lancashire

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
RESTRICTED BYWAY FROM SNAPE LANE, WARTON TO DYKES LANE, YEALAND CONYERS
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2023

The above Order, made on the 22 February 2023, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by recording a restricted byway from Snape Lane, Warton to Dykes Lane, Yealand Conyers as described below:

1. Recording a restricted byway from a junction with Snape Lane (U22528) Warton and continuing along a clearly defined bounded track in a northerly direction for 125 metres to an unmarked point on the parish boundary with Yealand Conyers.

The width of the compacted stone-based track varies between 2.5 and 3m wide running between hedges which are 6 to 8 metres apart (measured between the bases of the hedges).

2. By upgrading to restricted byway from the junction with the route described above on the parish boundary continuing north in Yealand Conyers as a clearly defined bounded track for 525 metres to the junction with Dykes Lane (U22529).

The width of the compacted stone-based track varies between 2.5 and 3m wide running between hedges which are 6 to 8 metres apart (measured between the bases of the hedges).

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may also be seen free of charge at the offices of Lancaster City Council, and at my offices from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00. A free digital copy of the Order may be requested by emailing annabel.mayson@lancashire.gov.uk or by telephoning Annabel Mayson on 01772 533244 between 9.00 and 17.00, Monday to Friday.

Any representations about, or objections to the Order may be sent in writing by email to annabel.mayson@lancashire.gov.uk or by letter to Annabel Mayson, Lancashire County Council, PO Box 100, County Hall, Preston, PR1 0LD (REF: LSG4/888.2194/AM15) not later than the 10 August 2023 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which they are made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, Lancashire County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment, may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
