What is happening?

FOOTPATH CLOSURE EXTENSION
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.66
(PART), NEW MILLS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 30th December 2022 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close public footpath No.66 New Mills, has been further continued.
Alternative route: Walk along public footpath No.66 for roughly 23 metres and follow the left turning into the field south of the footpath. Follow the boundary line for roughly 180 metres to rejoin public footpath No.67 and vice-versa.
The public footpath will be closed until 31st December 2023 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
Reason for closure: To facilitate public safety due to building works.
Derbyshire County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused during the duration of the closure. Any member of the public requiring further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
