What is happening?

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BRIDLEWAY 0339020 SAWLEY & PUBLIC FOOTPATHS 0339027, 0339024 and
0339025 SAWLEY, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit all traffic from proceeding over those
lengths of Bridleway 0339020 Sawley, and Public Footpaths 0339027, 0339024 and 0339025 Sawley, Ribble Valley Borough, indicated below:- Bridleway 0339020 Sawley, Ribble Valley, (F – D – G ) from Point F (SD 7866 – 4718) in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 218 metres to
Point D (SD 7866 – 4730), and continuing in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 626 metres to Point G (SD 7946 – 4746) Footpath 0339027 Sawley, Ribble Valley (D – E) from Point D (SD 7886 – 4730) in a generally north, north easterly direction for approximately 760 metres to Point E (SD 7846 – 4746).
Footpath 0339024 Sawley, Ribble Valley (H – G) from Point H (SD 7942 – 4708) in a generally north, north easterly direction for approximately 444 metres to Point G (SD 7946 – 4746).
Footpath 0339025 Sawley, Ribble Valley (A – I – G – B – C) from Point A (SD 7967 – 4719) in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 200 metres to Point I (SD 7947 – 4746) and then in a generally north westerly direction for approximately
150 metres to Point G (SD 7946 – 4746). Then continuing in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 375 metres to Point B (SD 7921 – 4780) and in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 97 metres to Point C (SD 7932 –
4785)
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the bridleway and footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the bridleway or footpaths, will be maintained at all times. Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those with
permission in connection with the event. The temporary prohibition is necessary to facilitate the holding of an event namely the Beat-Herder Festival 2023.
The Order will be operative from Friday 30thJune, 2023, – Monday 24th July, 2023.
The Secretary of State has agreed pursuant to S16B(1)(b) that the Order continue in
force for this period
