Great Cambridge Road, Temporary Speed Limit Change & Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Central Reservation Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE A10 GLA ROAD (GREAT CAMBRIDGE ROAD, LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD) (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made the above-named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable central reservation works to take place on the A10 Great Cambridge Road.

3. The effects of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

(1) entering or proceeding in a northerly direction on Great Cambridge Road between its junctions with Great Cambridge Junction and Trinity Avenue, local access will be maintained between Great Cambridge Junction and Bury Street Cambridge Terrace;

(2) entering or proceeding in a southerly direction on Great Cambridge Road between its junctions with Bullsmoor Lane and Bury Street, local access will be maintained between Bullsmoor Lane and Lincoln Road;

(3) exceeding a speed of 30 MPH on Great Cambridge Road from a point 100 meters southwest of No.25 Harrow Avenue to its junction with Bury Street.

The Order will be effective at certain times from 7:00 AM on the 3rd July 2023 and 7:00 PM on the 30th December 2023 or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

(1) for article 3 (1)-(2) above only, any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes; (2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of

a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.

5. At such times as the prohibitions are in force alternative routes will be indicated by traffic signs to normal route of travel.

For northbound closure via Great Cambridge Road, Great Cambridge Junction, A406 eastbound, Montague Road, Conduit Lane, Meriden Way, Mollison Avenue and Bullsmoor Lane to normal route of travel. For southbound closure via Great Cambridge Road, Bullsmoor Lane, Mollison Avenue, Meridian Way, Conduit Lane, Montague Road, North Circular Road westbound, Great Cambridge Junction and Great Cambridge Road to normal route of travel.

Great Cambridge Road, Great Cambridge Junction, A406 eastbound, Montague Road, Conduit Lane, Meriden Way, Mollison Avenue and Bullsmoor Lane to normal route of travel.

Great Cambridge Road, Bullsmoor Lane, Mollison Avenue, Meridian Way, Conduit Lane, Montague Road, North Circular Road westbound, Great Cambridge Junction and Great Cambridge Road to normal route of travel.
