What is happening?

(KIRK BRAE AREA) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION
AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2023 – TEMP/23/107
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway and footway resurfacing works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Kirk Brae, from Double
Hedges Rd to Claverhouse Drv; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of (i) Kirk Brae, from Double Hedges Rd to Claverhouse Drv; (ii) Orchardhead Rd, from its jnct with Kirk Brae, south-westwards for 15m; (iii) Wolrige Rd, from Liberton Rd to Kirk Brae; & (iv) Kirkgate, from Liberton Rd to Kirk Brae. The Order shall have effect from 1/7/23 to 31/8/23. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via Liberton Brae &
Kirkgate or Gilmerton Rd & Mount Vernon Rd. Existing
restrictions may be suspended on the affected sections of
roads described in (b).
