Tangier Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting

Portsmouth City Council (Tangier Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and
Waiting) (No.137) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has given a direction under section 15(3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 for the above Order to be continuing in force for a further one month.
The Order came into operation from 19th April 2023 and the effect is as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING
IDSWORTH ROAD
From its junction with Tangier Road to No. 1.
NEVILLE ROAD
From its junction with Tangier Road to side of No. 96 Tangier Road.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
TANGIER ROAD

Outside No. 78 to the junction of Chilcote Road (to facilitate temporary bus stop).
IDSWORTH ROAD
From its junction with Tangier Road to No. 3 (both sides).
NEVILLE ROAD
From its junction with Tangier Road to side of No. 96 Tangier Road.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate footway buildout works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 19th April 2023 to 30 th June 2023 (including a further extension of 1 week from 24th June 2023).
E) DIVERSION
Idsworth Road: Westover Road - Cobden Avenue - Idsworth Road or Ripley Grove - Cobden Avenue - Idsworth Road.
Neville Road: Chilcote Road - Hayling Avenue - Neville Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
