Iveston Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Culvert Repair & Headwall Replacement Works

What is happening?

The County Council of Durham (Iveston Lane, Iveston) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 200 metre length of Iveston Lane between Iveston Cottage and Bogle Hole Bridge, Iveston to enable culvert repair and headwall replacement works to be undertaken.

An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the north eastern side of the closure from Iveston Lane via A691 south easterly to the junction with Stockerley Lane then south westerly and north westerly to the junction with Iveston Lane to the south western side of the closure, and vice versa.

The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence between 8.00 am and 4.30 pm on 10/07/23 and are anticipated to be completed in 3 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
