ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A1068 Choppington Road for a distance of 20 metres, 10 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 26th June 2023 until the 27th June 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th June 2023 until the 27th June 2023 between the hours of 23:30 and 05:30 during this period.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A1068, A196, A1147, A189, A193, A1068 and vice-versa. Enquiries should be made to Northumberland County Council’s Contact Centre 0345 600 6400 or at https://one.network (enter the road number and road name) – Ref:13389621.
The closure has been requested by Chevron TM on behalf of Network Rail to carry out the annual level crossing test.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
