Tabley Lane And Tag Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

(TABLEY LANE AND TAG LANE, WOODPLUMPTON, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Tabley Lane and Tag Lane, Preston as follows: -
Tabley Lane - from its junction with Sandy Lane to its junction with Hoyle's Lane
Tag Lane from its junction with Hoyle's Lane to its junction with Tom Benson Way.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily from 0830 hours until 1600 hours on 26th June 2023 until 22nd October 2023 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. School bus service will be maintained.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: -
Woodplumpton Road – Newsham Hall Lane – Woodplumpton Lane – Garstang Road – Lightfoot Lane – Tom Benson Way
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow Avove Limited on behalf of United Utilities to install a new water main works.
