(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION)
ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the speed by vehicular traffic from 20 MPH down to 5 MPH on that section of the U6509 Institute Road Ashington for its entire length of 120 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective on the 2nd July 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be restricted on the 2nd July 2023 between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 during this period. Exemptions are necessary for emergency service vehicles.

The speed restriction has been requested by Ashington Town Council due to the likelihood of danger to the public when entering and exiting the Ashington Fayre Day Event which is scheduled to take place on the 2nd July 2023.
