What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Landport Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.197) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 27th June 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
LANDPORT STREET

From its junction with Hampshire Terrace to its junction with Lansdowne Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Southern Water works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 27th June 2023 to 28th June 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from St Pauls Road - Kings Road - Kings Road Roundabout - Landport Terrace and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
