MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC134419291: The City of Manchester (Mill Lane, Woodhouse Park Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Mill Lane from its junction with A538 Wilmslow Road in an Easterly direction for a distance of 500 metres. The alternative routes for traffic will be: (1) Mill Lane, Castle Mill Lane, Ashley Road, Park Road, Hale Road, Hale Circle, Wilmslow Road (2) Wilmslow Road, Altrincham Road, Altrincham Road Roundabout, Hale Circle, Hale Road, Park Road, Ashley Road, Castle Mill Lane, Mill Lane. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate access to the network to carry out pole tests from its junction with A538 Wilmslow Road in an Easterly direction for a distance of 500 metres. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 27 June 2023. The order shall come into operation on 27 June 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC134167231: The City of Manchester (Edgehill Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Edgehill Street from Turner Street to Union Street. The alternative route for traffic will be: Turner Street, Union Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a MEWP. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 28 June 2023. The order shall come into operation on 28 June 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC134215635: The City of Manchester (Store Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Store Street from London Road to other side of bridge. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Boad Street, Sheffield Street, Travis Street, Fairfield Street, Aytoun Street, Auburn Street, London Road & London Road, Travis Street, Sheffield Street, Boad Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate construction works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 26th June 2023 to 29th June 2023 between the hours of 20:00 and 04:00 night shifts only. The order shall come into operation on 26th June 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 26th June 2023.
ORDER NO. MCC134514622: The City of Manchester (Millgate Lane, Didsbury East Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Millgate Lane from its junction with Wilmslow Road to its junction with Kingston Avenue. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Wilmslow Road, Kingston Road, Millgate Lane and vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate rebuilding of retaining wall. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 27th June 2023 to 22nd September 2023.
The order shall come into operation on 27th June 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
