(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highway in Thropton in the County of Northumberland:
C172 Greenside Bank To Harbottle - 3017 metres from its junction with the U4029 heading in a north easterly direction continuing on for a further 34 metres.
C172 Greenside Bank - from its point with Greenside Bank to Harbottle heading in a north easterly direction for 528 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 26th June 2023 until the 26th December 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th June 2023 until the 14th July 2023 between the hours of 07:00 until 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 26th December 2023.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C172, C176, U4047, B6341 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
