(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland:
B6341 Junction Rothbury To Cragside from its junction with the B6341 Rothbury to Blue Knox heading in a easterly direction for a length of 1099 metres.
B6344 District Boundary Rothbury from its point with B6341 heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 570 metres.
B6344 Cragside To Weldon Junction from its point with District Boundary Rothbury heading in a easterly direction for a length of 1963 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 12th July 2023 until 31st October 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 12th July 2023 until 13th July 2023 between the hours of 09:00 until 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st October 2023.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6344, A697, B6341 and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out resurfacing works, in order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
