THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (PERMIT PARKING PLACES) (WEST BRIDGE STREET, FALKIRK) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2023

Falkirk Council made the above Order on 15 June 2023 in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to said Act and having complied with the statutory requirements of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, as amended. The Order will be experimental and will remain in operation for a period of no greater than 18 months.

The effect of the Order, which comes into operation on 7 July 2023, will be to revoke prohibition of waiting, restriction of waiting and restriction on loading and unloading restrictions on sections of road on West Bridge Street in Falkirk and designate those sections of road as permit only parking places.

A copy of the Experimental Order as made, together with a map showing said length of road and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the Experimental Order may be inspected online at http://www.tellmescotland.gov.uk/ or from Abbotsford House, Davids Loan, Falkirk by contacting adteam3.ds@falkirk.gov.uk.

Falkirk Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be made permanent. Any person wishing to object to the making of a permanent Order should send details of the grounds of objection in writing to Head of Environment and Operations, Abbotsford House, David’s Loan, Falkirk, FK2 7YZ or by e-mail to adteam3.ds@falkirk.gov.uk. Objections must be received by 5 January 2024.
