What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
U4023 LOW ALWINTON TO MAKENDON CATTLE GRID ALWINTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U4023 Low Alwinton To Makendon Cattle Grid from its junction with track over river to Quickening Cote Farm heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 11,839 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 7th July 2023 until the 26th July 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 7th July 2023 until the 26th July 2023 between the hours of 09:00 until 15:00 during this period.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the U4023, C172, U4025, A697, C21, C20, A68 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by OCU Group for service alteration.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
