What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
A61 BYPASS, CHESTERFIELD
TEMPORARY 50 / 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT

WHEN: 26th June 2023 to 13th July 2023
WHERE: It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 50mph (30mph from 200 metres on approach to Whittington Interchange including Interchange), from a point 140 metres north of Rother Way Interchange for a distance of 2.4 kilometres to a point adjacent Sheepbridge On / Off Slips. REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on Whittington Interchange. The restriction will be in force for the time stated or until the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 50 mph
